The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and typically takes 3–4 hours. Incisions are carefully placed along the hairline and natural contours of the ear to minimize visible scarring. Dr. Pound repositions the deeper facial tissues (SMAS layer) for a durable, natural result. The facelift can also be combined with CO2 laser resurfacing to address skin texture, fine lines, and sun damage at the same time — maximizing your overall result in a single recovery. Most patients return to social activities within 2–3 weeks, with final results visible at 3–6 months.
